Welcome to 2008!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Can you believe it?! 2007 is now a thing of the past!! I can't believe time actually flies! We're now a step closer to another decade, a little closer to another century and well...still far away from the next millenium. That aside, we're constantly moving forward and everything around us is doing the same. No one ever stops in this generation. Rather, we do not have time to stop! We're just too psyched up on what the future holds for us.

Right now, I wish I was at the Times Square 2008 New Year Celebration in New York. I have this sudden urge to indulge myself in the crowd and welcome 2008 with cheers so loud that people all round the world can hear our cries of joy and excitement. Imagine fun handouts, celebrity performances, descending New Year's Eve Ball, 60 seconds countdown with the crowd (Oh...the tension!), confetti from the rooftops and pyrotechnics. How much fun it would be! I've never experienced welcoming a new year with a large crowd before but I think it'll be a nice change for a new year...maybe something like a new year's resolution. Well, the best I can do now is to watch the event through EarthCam's live broadcast and keep wishing I will have a chance to be part of it sometime in the future.

See? That's why people nowadays don't stop moving forward. It's because they're eager to fulfill their dreams and wishes in the future! I hope 2008 would fly past as quickly as 2007 too, then 2009, 2010 and so on...till I have fulfilled this one wish.

That's all for it then. Let's welcome 2008 with open arms for a moment before sending it off as soon as possible! Happy 2008!! See ya!

A day earlier wouldn't hurt, would it?

Guess what, it's snowing! Yeah, I'm psyched up and such but the problem is, I'm also feeling a little frustrated. As I've ranted before, I was hoping for a white Christmas, and was still hoping it was down to the last second but still...you know. Let's just say heaven wasn't on my side or rather, the weather wasn't. However, just after Christmas' over, *poof*, it snowed! What on earth?! Why couldn't it have come a day earlier? I mean, before Christmas, the trees were already dusted white due to the water vapor freezing up but it'd sure be nice to have snow covered roads and houses, wouldn't it? It just makes Christmas so much more...Christmasy (not sure if I'd call that a word)

Well, guess it's no use rambling on about it since it probably wouldn't change a thing. Just wished the snow had came earlier. Thanks for listen-, I mean reading anyway. See ya and hoped you had a better Christmas!

Say it with me! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Woohoo! It's finally Christmas -- the one event that I always look forward to, no matter what. Dining together with your family, gathering round the Christmas tree for a chit-chat and then topping it off with a chain of Christmas specials on TV. It's gonna be one hell of a Christmas! My ideal Christmas would iclude heaploads of snow (all day or season long), family working together to whip up a wicked Christmas feast and a party that truly brings out the meaning of "Jingle Bell Rocks". I wonder what kind of Christmas you are all looking forward to. There's just a sea of possibilities out there. Wish I could have them all. Well, that's just me getting greedy.

Alright then, I guess that's all for now. The last thing I'd wanna do is to wreck your Christmas by having you read a novel-length post. That'd be pretty darn tiring for me too.

Oh oh, before I go, there's something I wanna say...

"WISHING ALL BLOGGERS OUT THERE A SPLENDID, ENJOYABLE AND FUN-FILLED CHRISTMAS!"

See ya and enjoy yourselves!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, Santa's on his way!

Bring out the snowman and light up your tree for Santa's coming to town! Can you believe Christmas is actually here again? It just goes to show how time flies. And following Christmas, it's the start of a New Year! Wow, how I love the holiday season! 2 weeks off from work, non-stop partying, holiday events and so on... how much better can it get than that? Well, it'd be better if it was actually snowing right about...now.

*Looks out the window*

Nope. Not snowing. On the bright side, it's still a fews days away from Christmas so there's still a glimpse of hope there. Also, I had planned to post a few pictures of life at the office with a twist of holiday spirit but failed to do so. Reason? I wasn't aware that yesterday was the last day at work for the year. As such, I didn't even get a chance to wish my colleagues a wonderful holiday season. It was such a waste. I mean, it's like I let this once in a year chance slip by from under my nose. It's not always that I get to experience Christmas at a workplace so it really is a letdown that I didn't get to do any of the things I had originally planned to. Sigh, I'm regretting about it so much so that I wish I could turn back time. As I always say, "Life is soooo...unpredictable".

Now, back to Christmas. I hope I'll have a heapload of presents waiting beneath the Christmas tree. I bet you do too, don't you?

Alright then. I guess that's it for now. Here's wishing all of you out there a joyous, fun-filled and rocking Christmas! Tata!

Who's winter's new companion?

Never expected I would get the day off but sometimes, the truth is just hard to believe. This would give me the chance to kick back and loosen up a little, at least just for today. So, I've been here in Switzerland for at least a month now and the weather here has really got my attention.

As you all know, the month of December marks the beginning of winter -- the season with the shortest days, lowest temperatures and not to mention, the only season to bring along a companion named 'snow'. Now, I might just have to re-think that all over again cause I think it broke up with snow and has brought someone else instead. Who? Well, let me drop you a clue. It falls from the sky when the clouds are dark.

Get it?

Don't get it?

Anyway, the answer is 'rain'. Yeah, rain came tagging along with winter this year. Ok, maybe not came tagging along cause technically, rain has never left as it's there all year long. However, it just felt so weird seeing a wet winter instead of a white winter. I really hope that it wouldn't last long because I certainly wouldn't want to pick a wet Christmas over the classic white Christmas, if given the choice.

I know it's just the beginning of winter but things were much different back then, about 2 to 3 years ago when around this point of year, the streets would have been covered with thick layers of snow. What are the causes then? Truth be told, I have no freaking idea. Do you think it's got something to do with global warming? Again, who knows? Let's just say mother nature has gone nuts -- either by itself or driven crazy by us humans. Well, hope it snows sometime soon cause Christmas is approaching ever closer as the days fly by.

That's the weather report for today and you'll be the first to know if it ever snows anytime soon. See ya next time! Gotta go enjoy the rest of my day before it ends!

What you get for being stealthy...

So, I guess I finally found something to blog about again. It was after my first post that something struck me from the deep abyss of unanswered mysteries. "What should we blog about when life is so mundane?" Good question. I've been thinking about it for days and weeks and months. Ok, maybe not months but I was really wrecking my brain for a week or two on what there's to blog about. Finally, I decided to consult my confidante, aka. the Laughing Monster, about what people usually post on their blogs. And I quote from her speech, "Blog about your life. Maybe some funny incidents that happened that day."

Hmm...funny incidents.

*10 seconds later*

Voila! I've got something!

Before I begin, I'd have to let you know that I'm currently on an internship in Switzerland for two months, till late January '08, as what I'm about to tell you is related to it. Alright, here goes nothing.

Once upon a time, two days ago, I was busy categorizing junks at the office and came across something that screamed "I'm not a junk!". Confused by it, I went to ask my senior/mentor, an elderly woman, under which section should I place this 'not junk' item. I took a few steps forward and -- damn it, she's kinda occupied at the moment. Since we all know that it's rude to interrupt, I waited

...and waited.

At this point of time, you'd start to think she doesn't know you're there and might wanna get her attention somehow. Yeah, so what? Well, the problem is naive me foolishly stood there and continued waiting, silent as a shadow. Just as my legs were feeling sore, she finally turned in my direction. At that moment, I felt like I ascended to Cloud Nine. However, my time on Cloud Nine was cut short when I scared the living daylights out of her instead. Yup, that was certainly unexpected. So, within the blink of an eye, I leapt down from Cloud Nine and into a zoo, where I turned into a hyena. I was practically laughing my guts out while she was busy calming herself down. I know that wasn't very nice of me and after I regained my calmness, I apologized to her. Thank god she's quite the understanding kind and didn't take it to heart. Now, I'm wondering what'd happened if she did take it to heart. Given her age and the scare, all I can see is a recipe for disaster. Nonetheless, I managed to complete my task, though not very smoothly as you can see. Oh, as for the 'not junk' item, I tossed it into a box with a label reading "SCRAP METAL". *Scoffs*. Thanks a lot for screaming "I'm not a junk!"

All in all, morale of the story is -- You never expect the unexpected.

Alright, time to sign off again till I find something to blog about...or maybe when I feel like it again. See ya!
