When life get's boring...

You go crazy. Then again, there's the other option of making it more interesting. Screw that. If you remember, in one of my earlier posts, I said I'd live life to the fullest. Well..been there, done that and truth be told, it sure is a hell lot harder than just saying it. Just imagine all those restrictions in life, those chains that bind you to what I'd call the "boring side". Rules, laws, the practically impossibles and what not. You'd know what I mean once you actually set out on your journey to seek an interesting life. Nevertheless, I'm not gonna go down without a fight so I'll just have to keep trying.

As per usual, not much has happened recently -- or in the past as a matter of fact. If you've noticed, I've been trying to keep this blog going by blurting out whatever I could think of. What can I say, life's mundane anyway. Still, there was this one news article that caught my attention. Apparently, Joe Gannascoli, the man behind Vito Spatafore of the Sopranos and a major Giants fan, dyed his dog blue. Blue! Can you freaking believe that? He DYED his dog BLUE! Come on, as far as I can tell, dogs aren't dyeable objects. Unless there's a tag sticking out from it that says "I am dyeable so go ahead and color me", which is highly unlikely even for a plushie dog much less a real one, this really has crossed the line. I'm not unhappy about it but look, dogs are living beings too. If we have our rights, they certainly have theirs. It's just that we can't understand their "woofs" to know what their rights are but I'm pretty damn sure that coloring them isn't one of it. For all we may know, the dog might have gone crazy, thinking it's infected with some kind of alien infection that turned its fur blue. Oh god, I really pity that dog.

So...I'm out of words as of now. Give me some time to go think of what I can babble about and I'll see you next time. Bye!

Tip of the Week: Know thyself

Welcome back to "Tip of the Week" once again, the place to settle one's craving for tips. So, without further delay, we shall move into the topic at hand.

"Know thyself"

I'm sure everyone out there has heard of the phrase, 'knowing is half the battle won'. If not, I'm gonna rephrase that to almost everyone. Since half the battle could be won by just knowing, it wouldn't hurt to know yourself. Your worth, your capabilities, your personality -- everything about you. This way, when someone tries to bring you down, you'd have already won half the battle. As for the other half, it depends on you. You could give up the fight if you're facing some loonie (obviously, fighting with a loonie makes you a loonie too), or, you could put up a resistance and throw it back in the oh-so-mighty, arrogant moron's face.

And with that, we've come to the end of our section once again. Nevertheless, I hope it helps and see ya again next week! Tips, tips and more tips!

Tip of the Week: Don't worry when you're nobody

Welcome to my new section, the "Tip of the Week"! Every week, I will be updating tips on everyday life and whatsoever. Not sure if it'll work for you but I sure hope it will perk up your day. So, here goes the very first tip.

"Don't worry when you're nobody"

Have you ever been called a 'nobody'? Other words, someone who's useless and worthless like a piece of junk. Ok, no offence meant. If you have ever been a victim of this thought-to-be ruthless word, don't fret. Rather, you should rejoice!

I'll explain why. Remember, nobody is ever perfect.

Get it?

'Nobody' is ever perfect. Therefore, you're perfect if you're a nobody! That'd make the person, who called you a 'nobody', imperfect since someone who hates you isn't gonna bring you to their level as they don't even want to be affiliated with you in any way. As such, if you're perfect and they don't want to be on the same level as you, they can only be imperfect.

That's it then. I hope it makes sense to you and see ya next time! Tips, tips and more tips!

Final days, final words

Hate to admit but my days here in Switzerland are numbered. What's worse is the number isn't all that big. Ta-dah, it's just a measly '3'. Drats!

Will be taking the morning flight on Sunday back to the god forsaken, pain in the rear, good for nothing and surprisingly disastrous place where I came from. I just hate that place so much that I don't even wish to mention it's name. Really wished I wasn't born there, even if it's gonna use up three wishes in a go.

So, today was the last day at the office for me. All I can say is that it was a rather humdrum departure. I didn't get to bid my colleagues goodbye, didn't wish them a wonderful year ahead, didn't tell them how much I've enjoyed the time there...I practically didn't get to scratch out a single thing from my list of "Things To Do Before Departure". That's it, I just left without notice. One perfect word to fit it all would be "pathetic". I just wished I had spent more time communicating with and getting to know them during my stay. That'd really be a dream come true since I always have the scenario play out perfectly in my mind but becomes a mess when it comes to the real thing.

Well, I wish that if I ever get the chance to come back here again, I'd be able to leave without any regrets. This means that I have to buck up and sharpen my social skills. I'm awfully sick and tired of being so monotonous.

Guess that's enough rambling for now. If I continue, I'm sure I could write a best-selling novel on my lifetime regrets. Then again, that's impossible cause I don't really have that much regrets. Anyway, that's gonna suck big time and I don't want my life to suck. Alright, gonna go pack up my stuff now, see ya!

As the strike goes on...

Let me tell you what'll happen. Our favorite TV series would be gone! Well, tell me, how bad is it a start for 2008? The WGAE (Writer's Guild of America, East) and WGAW (Writer's Guild of America, West) apparently decided to go on strike and left us TV addicts craving for more but getting none. Nada, zilch, zero, a big goose egg!

Wait, you've not heard about the strike? No biggie. Ready a pen and notebook and I'll give you a rundown on it.

So, first things first, the strike broke out on November 5, 2007. Every three years, the WGA supposedly has to negotiate a new basic contract with the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers), by which it's members are employed. However, in the 2007 negotiations, an annoying word called "impasse" decided to butt in. Issues involved include DVD residuals, new media(compensation for delivery channels) and jurisdiction in reality and animation. As such, the much hated strike came into being.

Till date, the strike has lasted a total of 9 weeks and 3 days. If you think that's long, think again cause the previous strike in 1988 lasted for 21 weeks and 6 days.

The strike has even received responses from the celebrities, although barred from supporting another union's strike. Many celebs have expressed support for the strike while some even joined in the march. As for the general public, surveys have shown that majority are sided with the writers. As for me, I'll just stay neutral since I'm not too sure of the contents myself.

Imagine, no CSIs, no House M.D., no Without A Trace, no Ghost Whisperer, no Cold Case, no Ugly Betty, no Gossip Girl, no Supernatural...no nothing! Everything's being affected by the strike. Gosh, am I glad I said I wanna send 2008 packing ASAP.

Alright, now I've to go mourn over the loss of my TV shows. Thanks for dropping by once again. See ya soon!

Where art thou, my sweet vacation...

Have you seen my vacation? I just heard a loud "vroom" and the next thing I know, it's gone.

With Christmas and New Year all over, the sweet scent of the holidays is dissipating into the air once again. Speaking of the holidays, my time here in Switzerland is also almost up. Bugger, everything's going away altogether and leaving me back to the boring routine of normal everyday life. How I'd wish that life was an adventure. That'd be so much more exciting and interesting. Of course, I know that life's what you make it and that it would better to light a candle rather than curse the darkness but as you know, things are easier said than done. Sigh. So much to accomplish, so little ways. It'd really help if I could find a magic lamp containing a genie who would grant you three wishes if you released it. Eh...well, that's stupid.

*Goes into a deep thought*

That's it. If I want an interesting life, I should live it to the fullest. Easier said than done? Who cares! If you have the will and determination, anything's possible! Time to add no. 18 into my list of "Goals to Fulfill".

Oh look, a note in my list. "Complete it ASAP!". Looks like I have to go. See ya!
