Vrooom...vrooom...

Just got back from watching 'Fast & Furious' with my colleagues and damn, it was quite the ride. Pun may or may not be intended there. The storyline was engaging and tends to keep your adrenaline pumping but as with driving, we're bound to hit some speed bumps or red lights along the road. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the movie as it's not just about street racing. There's a major plot and racing is just a small part of it.

However, what I had my eyes fixed on to for the entire run of the movie were the amazingly gorgeous cars. Everyone in the theater echoed out in awe and disbelief at the sight of these automobile beauties. With each thrust of their gas pedals, I could feel my heart rate rising as though it was the engine itself. Well, mainly that's because of the digital stereo surround system they have in there. It just gives you the feeling that you're in the car itself. A placebo of sorts. Besides the highly attractive cars, what's equally as awesome is the superlative driving skills displayed. They could drift like a leaf on a stream and drive in reverse without a sweat, dodge flaming fuel tanks or speeding cars with all sorts of fanciful swerves and moves. Gosh, they even have these nitro-meth engines thingy that spew fire out from the exhuast pipes. Ain't it awesome or what?

Well, I guess I'm still so engrossed with the cars to even think about anything else from the movie. In fact, all I can pull out from my memory are the cars alone. Cars, cars and more cars. Amazingly gorgeous cars.

Anyway, a little on what's been going on as of late, I've just survived three days of work without my senior's supervision. In other words, I temporarily took over his position while he was on overseas leave. As with what I've said from last week, he has left a huge pair of shoes for me to fill in. Real huge. Like humongous. I was like totally sweating out on the first day since I've to try my hands on more advanced stuff, handle the incoming waves of e-mails, submit my work on time and answer phone calls. Though it kinda sounds terrifying, it actually isn't all that bad. There isn't really a deadline for when I have to submit my work but I just limit myself so that it'd be more of a challenge rather than the normal mind-numbing 8 to 5 routine. Still, it was definitely an interesting experience, one that I've never had before, and I slowly got used to it as the days went by. It's a pity that I'll have to hand all that back to him on Monday. Will really miss the 2 computers and the desk. They've been serving me all day long for the past three days and without them, I couldn't have done anything.

Alright, I think I'll just break off here for now. Hopefully, I'll be able to find something else to blog about soon. Then again, it isn't that hard when you're working in a office filled with all sorts of interesting events everyday. Well, cheers!
